A group blog to promote discussion, debate and insight into the history, particularly religious, of America's founding. Any observations, questions, or comments relating to the blog's theme are welcomed.
Rothbard has some valuable insights into the struggle for religious liberty. But, neither his research nr his sources cut very deep or wide. For a much better and very recent take on Williams and Hutchinson by a non-professional historian, I recommend highly John Barry's Roger Williams and the Creation of the American Soul. I'm about two-thirds of the way through it.
