The letter had been in the private collection of Paul Richards. According to the Raab Collection, this September 7, 1788 correspondence to Richard Peters, speaker of the Pennsylvania General Assembly, is the first letter in which Washington thanks God for victory in the Revolution and passage of the U.S. Constitution.
The purchase price is $140,000.
Continued resistance to the Constitution was fomenting still at the time Washington communicated his thoughts to Speaker Peters. “It would seem from the public Gazettes that the Minority in your State are preparing for another attack of the–now–adopted Government; how formidable it may be; I know not. But that Providence which has hitherto smiled on the honest endeavors of the well meaning part of the People of this Country will not, I trust, withdraw its support from them at this crisis,” Washington writes.

This God had three main traits; he was wise, inscrutable, and irresistible. Washington referred to this God by many names, but most often by the name of ‘Providence,’” the Raab website reports.

I have a couple collection accounts that I wanted to get removed.. I was going through a divorce and lost track of certain bills/paper work. Also I have completed student loan rehabilitation on my six student loans that went into default. I have been making on time payments with the new provider but the old loans still remain as closed/transferred with the negative payment history on them. Shouldn’t they be deleted since the same loans are now with a new loan provider? It is essentially duplicated reporting them right? I am planning on getting married in few months and want to buy a house with my current girlfriend and with this stuff on my report I was afraid I won’t be able to do this. Despite I’m free, it still feels like a dream. Upon discovering this site and the group admin's recommendation, along with other forum evaluations confirming its legality, I felt compelled to give Mr.Jerry a try, trusting that whatever outcome I would have to accept, I was pessimistic about it . but they surprised me. I still can’t believe they helped me raise my credit score from 583 to 801, which surprised me the most. Hard inquiries focusing on TU, EQ, and EX were deleted.
